Employment in DC Symposium - 2013

Please join us on Thursday, September 12, for the annual Employment Symposium hosted by the DC Chapter of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society.
 
This year's symposium will feature a panel discussion of attorneys working in various sectors of the DC-area legal market. As in past years, the symposium will also include an opportunity for resume review, and interview practice.
 
We extend a special invitation to law students and local attorneys currently engaged in a job search. Any other interested persons are also welcome.
 
Also, please let us know if you have experience interviewing job candidates and could help do mock interviews
 
A light dinner will be provided.
 
The event will take place at the DC offices of Patton Boggs LLP - 2550 M Street NW at 6:00 PM (within walking distance of Foggy Bottom Metro Station).

Supreme Court Review with Marcia Coyle

Join us for lunch on Thursday, September 26, when DC Chapter member Michelle Olsen will interview Marcia Coyle about her new book, The Roberts Court, and about the upcoming Supreme Court term.
 
Marcia Coyle is the chief Washington correspondent for The National Law Journal. As a lawyer and journalist, she has covered the Supreme Court for twenty-five years. She also appears regularly on the PBS NewsHour and has earned numerous national journalism awards, including the George Polk Award for legal reporting.
 
Michelle Olsen is the blogger behind Appellate Daily and a columnist for the U.S. Supreme Court section of the National Law Journal, focusing on circuit split coverage. She reported on the same-sex marriage arguments for Above the Law, and her work has been featured by numerous other outlets, including SCOTUSblog and How Appealing. Ms. Olsen has provided on-air commentary for HuffPost Live.
                
The event will take place at 12 noon on September 26, at the offices of Winston & Strawn, 1700 K Street, N.W. (next to Farragut Square off the Farragut North (red line) and Farragut West (orange line) metro stations).
