On
Tuesday, April 19 we will host a
“Guantanamo Bay: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow” panel discussion at the Barlow Center (2520 L Street, NW).
The panel will address the way law, politics and policy are shaping how decisions are being made regarding the detentions at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The panel, which will begin at noon, will feature
Brent Rushforth, who currently represents several men held at Guantanamo Bay, and
Andrew Borene, who has represented the Department of Defense in these cases. The panel will be moderated by
Jon Eskelsen, who was deployed to Guantanamo Bay from 2006 - 2007.
One credit of Virginia CLE has been applied for.
